Holy shit... has it really been that long since I last put an entry in this thing.

Shhhhiiiiiit!

It’s really hard to get back into the habit of doing something that I once had a big habit of doing (using my LJ and DA, drawing, being interesting, being happy, etc...).  All my life consists of is working in a boring job and fuck all else.  I’m so shit of meeting and talking to people now.  I may get a Facebook account and see if I can get in touch with people again.

One good thing is that I finally had my front teeth done.  Be gone the old pointy teeth that I lived with for most of my life, and hello nice new normal looking teeth.  Now I can smile and not be ashamed or feel too ugly anymore   And goodbye nearly £900 of my money ;_;

The only fun thing that I’m doing at the moment is my second year oil painting class.  I basically did bugger all painting and drawing since the end of the beginners class in March, but now I feel like being creative again for a bit.   I just hope it lasts for a bit longer than the last time.
And this year will be my first time painting people, so I’m excited to learn how to do that.

The artists I’m using for inspiration for this class are Waterhouse and Mucha, mainly the style of Art Nouveau from Mucha and the themes and ideas in Waterhouse’s work.

Using the two I rehashed an idea of a drawing I did years ago when I still had friends online and people liked what I did in my old gallery (I miss those times so much), which was of seahorse/merpeople-type creatures.  I loved the idea of them, and I’m really keen to do a load of pictures of them (I’m not doing the mpreg at them moment... but knowing my teacher she may actually like me to do one *lol*).

Here are the two works-in-progress.  And bloody ‘ell it’s hard to paint that style of Art Nouveau.

I would have put up the sketches of them too, but I have no place to put my scanner to be able to use it (that is also the reason why I haven’t put up any new pictures for an age).

‘ear are a couple of random photos of me and Rach (aka ) cosplaying England and N.Italy from the October MCM Expo.  It was the most fun I had in years, and I actually felt happy for a change
